How often should a plate heat exchanger be serviced?
It depends on the duty, fluids and fouling rate. Many sites include their units in an annual service program; we can recommend an interval after an inspection.
What are the signs a unit needs a service?
Rising pressure drop, falling outlet temperatures, visible leaks or weeping gaskets, and increased energy use are all common signs.
On-site or workshop — which is better?
On-site work suits inspections, leak detection and adjustments. A workshop service is the most thorough option when plates need cleaning individually, crack testing or new gaskets.
